About
Family-run bed and breakfast in a 17th-century half-timbered Norman manor between Vernon and Giverny, 3 km from Claude Monet's house and gardens (5 minutes by car, 35 minutes on foot). Tradition has it that Saint Louis founded a monastery here in 1260; the walled garden of about 5,000 m² still recalls it. Ariane and Alain Cauderlier are restoring the house with old and traditional materials. Both rooms, in the east wing, open directly onto the garden. The Vernon–Giverny green way runs behind the house (Vernon 15 minutes on foot, the banks of the Seine 10 minutes). Homemade breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi included. We speak French, English, German and Spanish.
